Amanda Jean (AJ)
Born and raised in San Diego, AJ moved to Colorado in 2004 for what she planned to be a short stay but instead, quickly fell in love with Colorado, and now considers herself a proud “CaliRodoan." AJ has had her hands in all things art since before she can remember. You can likely find her painting something in her apartment, hiking in the mountains, rock climbing, doing improv, or volunteering!
Brett took a full-fledged dive into art after graduating high school and he has consistently continued to explore his creativity. A graduate from Savannah College of Art and Design, you can often find Brett's work displayed throughout different venues in Downtown Colorado Springs. His passion is any and all things art, and he always looks forward to questions, comments and feedback in relation. Lastly and most importantly, Brett is awesome.
Carole Morrison is a professional artist and owner of AHA Gallery and Off the Leash Art. Carole has a natural ability to create art that captures the spirit of the subjects that she paints, whether she works in colored pencil, charcoal, pastels, or acrylics. She utilizes her boundless energy and creativity to create unique pieces that combine her love of color, passion for art, and life long love of animals.
As the 7th child of 15, Cedric's parents were diligent in teaching and training him in the light of love. Laughter was a major part in his education and an influence throughout his college years, where he majored in Graphic Design. He is a single father of 4 and a freelance artist!
Celeste brings over half a century of experience to her classes. She works in a variety of materials including clay, wood, fabric and all types of paint. She loves the process of creating and sharing the magic with others. She has professional experience in interior design and construction and holds a Bachelors degree in fine art. In her free time she enjoys being with her loveable dog, Max. You can check out her studio work at
Eloisa grew up in Mexico, and knew she wanted to be an artist from a very young age. She studied drawing and pastel painting at age 18, and at age 21 came to the United States to get her Bachelor's degree in graphic design, which she completed . While living in New York City, she studied drawing at the Art Students League, with artist Sherry Camhy. It was then she discovered her personal style in charcoal portrait drawing. During this time she also taught art at two elementary Catholic schools in East Harlem, and The Bronx. Her passion and mission in life is to experience art freely, and share this gift with the world.
Holly grew up in the Southeast, always drawing and painting things inspired by nature and fairytales. She studied art and graphic design and does freelance illustration. Holly loves to teach painting and she loves Colorado.
Kim earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education from CSU- Fort Collins. Apart from working at PWAT, she is an art teacher at Widefield High School and has worked for the Widefield School District for 17 years. Kim feels the best part of teaching art is watching people succeed on their projects and giving them a chance to smile.
Meridith Hyland graduated from University of Colorado with a degree in Political Science and minored in Art Studio. As an active member in the Front Range Body Painting Community, she has be painting on people, places, and things since 2002. She Loves working at Painting With A Twist because not only does she like teaching and helping patrons, she really enjoys the fact that canvases stay relatively stationary!
This Texas gal showed an interest in art as a little girl and began managing a small art studio as a teen. She received a fine arts degree from Texas Tech (Wreck Em!) while working as a professional model and photographer. Her friends think she’s a gypsy because she easily gets cabin fever and often travels abroad to teach & study art. She is a full time middle school painting teacher, so art is her life! When she isn’t at work she enjoys hot yoga, time in the mountains with her husband and 3 huskies, reading books in her hammock, and singing Disney songs.
