Eloisa grew up in Mexico, and knew she wanted to be an artist from a very young age. She studied drawing and pastel painting at age 18, and at age 21 came to the United States to get her Bachelor's degree in graphic design, which she completed . While living in New York City, she studied drawing at the Art Students League, with artist Sherry Camhy. It was then she discovered her personal style in charcoal portrait drawing. During this time she also taught art at two elementary Catholic schools in East Harlem, and The Bronx. Her passion and mission in life is to experience art freely, and share this gift with the world.
Hey Y’all . . . As a Texas born Colorado transplant, Jamie is excited to be a part of the Painting with a Twist team! Jamie is a studio artist with concentrations in painting and mixed media. She loves teaching art to all ages and skill levels. In addition to the awesome classes at PWAT, Jamie enjoys teaching various courses at the Bemis School of Art in Colorado Springs. Likewise, during the school year, Jamie teaches high school art in D20. To her, helping students find inspiration and joy in the process of creating art is truly rewarding!!
This Texas gal showed an interest in art as a little girl and began managing a small art studio as a teen. She received a fine arts degree from Texas Tech (Wreck Em!) while working as a professional model and photographer. Her friends think she’s a gypsy because she easily gets cabin fever and often travels abroad to teach & study art. She is a full time middle school painting teacher, so art is her life! When she isn’t at work she enjoys hot yoga, time in the mountains with her husband and 3 huskies, reading books in her hammock, and singing Disney songs.
Tyler Dixon is a muralist and surreal dreamscape painter, who has been instructing PWAT classes across the country (TX, NC, and CO) since 2013. After studying Illustration in Philly, he began working in the music industry creating artwork for musicians. After shifting his focus to his personal art, Tyler's work was featured in the 2014 Fort Worth Arts Goggle Festival, and he won first place in the 2015 Pour House Mural Painting Contest in Charleston, SC. In the summer of 2016, Tyler was drawn to the vibrancy of Colorado Springs and he now lives in an old Victorian home downtown with his wife. In addition to being an instructor at PWAT, he also teaches therapeutic painting classes for individuals with autism, and exhibits artwork in galleries throughout Colorado.
