3 Fall Activities to Enjoy

A Few Things to do this fall in Gilbert, Arizona

September 22 will officially mark the first day of fall. Everywhere else, it is the time of year when leaves change colors, days become shorter, holiday plans start to get set and the harvest starts to roll in. Here in Gilbert, we’re experiencing our hottest summer that just won’t end.

Even though it may not look like fall, we can still experience a great season. Here are a few activities that could help get us in the mood and ready for the holidays.

1. Let’s be honest, with so many of us being busy with work, virtual school and life, there’s no better time than a refreshing adult fall beverage. Sometimes we need to skip the pumpkin spice latte and head straight for the strong stuff. Here’s a delicious recipe to try at home.

     Pumpkin Apple Shandy

     ½ Cup Pumpkin Beer

     ½ Cup Apple Cider

     2 Apple Slices

     2 Cinnamon Sticks

Mix all the above ingredients together in a glass and enjoy!

2. Enjoy a fall sunset. Thanks to incoming air from Canada our skies will never be more colorful. Take in the reds, oranges, purples, and gold hues that appear to burst from the sky. Whether you enjoy these views from the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch, South Mountain Park or from your own home. Witnessing a sunset in Gilbert is truly a spectacular event.

3. Nothing says fall more than a rustic wooden board painted with an autumn bouquet or a truckload full of pumpkins. Here at Painting with a Twist Gilbert, we have an assortment of paintings to choose from with an autumn touch. You can paint on a canvas, wooden board or even a pallet board - there's options for every painting! Our instructor will walk you through the entire process start to finish and we guarantee yours will come out beautifully! You can hang your new masterpiece up every year and have memories to last a lifetime.

This is a wonderful time of year; let’s all take a moment to enjoy it.
