What is Painting with a Twist?
Painting with a Twist is a “fun” art studio for anyone interested in painting! We use fast drying student grade acrylic paints. At our "In Studio Events" we teach the class, step-by-step, through a specific painting. Most of our guests have no painting experience but all of them have fun and great success!
How does Painting with a Twist work?
We post an online Event Calendar that shows both our Public and Private Events. Calendars are published before the month in order to give you plenty of time to plan ahead. We do have a customer rewards program you will want to get in on! Before registering, make sure to set up a rewards account. Creating an account is FREE and you will receive 5,000 points just for joining. You will also earn discounts on future classes! Once you have an account set up, make sure to log in each time you register to receive your rewards!
Classes marked “Private” are events where groups have reserved our studio in advance and are closed to the public. You can set up your own "Private" event here.
All classes NOT marked "Private" are Open to Public.
You can come to a public class alone, with one friend, or with as many friends as you can round up. Please choose one person from your group and have everyone mention that person in the “Seating & Special Requests” section when they register, and we will do our best to seat your group all together.
You don't have time for an event or just don't want to spend an evening "out" - try one of our many At Home DIY Kits. We have over 1,000 paintings to choose from with detailed instructions and some even come with video instructions. Our "kits" come with everything you need to "Party In"!
The kids need a day out - and so do you! We are open for you to just Pop In (see page for current times open).
- You can choose from our library of over 1000 paintings and several different surfaces. The paintings have detailed instructions and depending on your choice it might have video instructions as well.
- You can select from a variety of "3D Projects"! You can choose from bird houses, trays, cutting boards and more (for you) as well as wood figurine projects for the children!
- Try something NEW and create your own long-lasting, all-natural scented soy candle with 24 amazing scents before you paint! It can be "curing" while you are painting. You can now do a candle during Pop-in (only $25)
SUMMARY: View the calendar of classes, find a painting you like, register online and check to see if there are any "upgrades" that you would like, arrive for class up to 30 minutes prior to class time and prepare for a relaxing and fun art party! Or you can de-stress at home by ordering one of our many At Home DIY Artwork Kits. Or just Pop In and Paint with us during our Pop In hours. So many choices!
During a regular event - can my friends (or children) come to watch without painting?
ALL GUESTS IN THE STUDIO MUST HAVE A RESERVATION. This includes parents or chaperones of minors, support people and the like. Minors under 15 MUST be accompanied by a paid parent or chaperone with the exception of "Kids Classes" which state in the description that we allow "watchers".
Do I need to reserve the private studio if I have a big group?
Groups of all sizes can join a public session – let us know so we can set you all together.

Are we allowed to bring in food and beverages?
OUTSIDE DRINKS or CONTAINERS ARE NOT ALLOWED! Thank you for understanding that we are NOT a BYOB. For our 21+ painters, we have a large variety of delicious drink options for purchase while in the studio including wine, beer, mimosas, & some fun specialty drinks. Drinking is not required, but a great TWIST for those who choose to partake. We do also offer several nonalcoholic drink options for purchase as well.
YES, YOU CAN BRING FOOD. Bring in your favorite snacks to enjoy during class! Remember you are painting most of the time so finger foods are best! Please remember to bring plates, utensils, and serving ware with you.
Where can I park?
There is plenty of parking in front of our studio and it is well lit after dark.
Do I need to bring anything with me to paint?
Your reservation fee includes everything you need to create a beautiful and unique painting! You will be supplied with an apron, easel, canvas, brushes, paints, napkins and step-by-step art instruction. When class is done, your artwork is ready to take home and hang! The only thing you may want to bring are snacks.
Can children paint?
We love our young artists and have specific classes designated just for them. Please see each class description for age requirements. Only those meeting the age requirement will be allowed to participate in that class!
I want to set up a Private Event or Corporate Team Event?
Start on our Party Info page. The basic information is all located there. To start the process, you will need to fill out the Request Party form. Be sure to add any information you think we will need to help you plan this event. We can accommodate daytime events as well as off-site events and look forward to discussing ways we can bring a unique experience your team will remember!
Will you come to my home?
Unfortunately, we do not go into private residences. Paint tends to go everywhere, and we don't want to ruin anyone's decor with the permanent paint. If you change your mind and want to paint in the studio, we have the perfect place for your private party! Our studio is designed to give you the best painting experience.
Do you have Gift Cards?
We have universal Gift Cards that can be purchased online and we also have Gift Certificates that can be purchased in the studio.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
All sales are final/non-refundable. Should you need to cancel your reservation, we are happy to offer store credit to use on a future class or kit. Cancellations must be requested no later than 1hr before the scheduled class start time to receive credit. Cancellations within 1hr of class start time will receive a partial credit (minus a "used supply" fee). There is NO EXPIRATION date for your store credit. Late Arrivals may not get to participate & will not get a credit for their class. No call/no shows will not receive store credit. No Exceptions.
If we are unable to hold the class/event or complete your order due to any fault on our behalf, a County Mandate, or due to severe weather, we will contact you with alternative options. These might include rescheduling the class to a later date/time, shifting your reservation to a future class or issuing you a full credit good towards any future class or kit purchase. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS. For Twist at Home kits, Paint Your Pet and other Personalized Classes - NO Credit, NO Exceptions.
When should I arrive to class?
You can arrive up to 30 min early to get uncorked, smocked & in your seat - it's your Happy Half Hour! Guests arriving 15 minutes (or more) late may not be allowed to paint and forfeit their registration fee. Be considerate of your classmates … please arrive on time!
