Hi, Boise! We’re Heather and Levi, the duo behind Painting with a Twist Boise, your soon-to-be favorite spot for creativity, connection, and a little bit of wine in the Treasure Valley! Whether you're a seasoned artist or someone who hasn’t picked up a paintbrush in decades, we’re here to make sure you have a fantastic time. Our studio is all about relaxing, having fun, and discovering your creative side. No pressure, just good vibes (and maybe a drink or two).
About Us
I (Heather) grew up in Massachusetts and have been passionate about art for as long as I can remember. I earned my BFA in Painting and started my career teaching Visual Arts to PreK-8th graders before transitioning into Graphic Design and teaching at the college level. While working full time I eventually found my way into the paint and sip world, where I discovered my true joy, helping people unlock their creativity. I absolutely love helping people explore their artistic side, especially first-timers who think they "can’t paint" (spoiler: you totally can!).
At Painting with a Twist Boise, I’ll be one of your artist instructors, while Levi is a little more behind-the-scenes keeping everything running smoothly (he’s a numbers guy), but don’t be surprised if you catch him pouring a mean glass of wine, too!
We’ve lived in Boise for three years now and absolutely love this community. You might already know us from the Boise Full Moon Bike Ride or SkiCulture.org, where we combine our love of the outdoors with bringing people together. When we’re not painting, skiing, or biking, we also run Meridian Trophy and Trophy House Pros, creating custom awards and promotional items for local businesses, sports teams, and events.
Why Painting with a Twist?
We believe everyone has creativity inside them! It just takes the right environment to bring it out. Painting with a Twist is about more than just painting; it’s about fun, relaxation, and connection. It’s the perfect place to unwind after work, celebrate with friends, or even try something totally new. And yes, a little wine always helps!
At our Boise studio, we’re bringing a variety of creative experiences to the table:
- Step-by-step public classes and private parties, all led by local artists.
- "Pop In and Paint" open studio hours, where you can go at your own pace.
- DIY fun beyond painting, knitting, candle making, pour painting, slime making, wood crafts, and more.
- A full service bar with beer, wine, soda, coffee, and non-alcoholic drinks, so everyone has something to sip on.
- All-ages events & kids' classes (will be coming soon!).
