What is Painting with a Twist?
Painting with a Twist is a fun art studio for anyone interested in painting! In our classes we use acrylic paints on 16x20 canvas and teach the class step by step through the specific painting of the day. Most of our guests have no painting experience and all of them have great success!

What are the prices for a class?
Two hour classes are offered starting at $40. Select Family Friendly and Seniors classes offered starting at $30.

Can I stop in anytime and paint?
We hold classes at specific times and those are the only times guests can come in and paint for an instructed session. To reserve a seat, please view our event calendar, select a painting you like and register online. Pre-registration is required for all classes. View our Open Class Calendar

Everyone needs a paid seat to stay on premises during all classes, except during a Family Day class.

At what time should I arrive for class?
Please arrive 10 - 20 minutes early to mix and mingle and jump start your happy hour! Classes will start promptly as scheduled. We reserve the right not to seat latecomers if it is disruptive to the class process. There will not be refunds/studio credit issued for late guests.

**BYOB Policy: We welcome bringing your own wine, beer, snacks and food to enjoy during your painting class! No one under the age of 21 will be allowed to consume alcohol. It is against NY State law to leave with an opened, unfinished bottle of wine or beer. Once an alcoholic beverage has been opened, it may not be removed from the studio.

Do you do private parties?
Yes, we can accommodate up to 48 people. See Party Info. We require a minimum of 10 people, with the exception of Friday and Saturday evenings where the minimum is 15.

When do you post a new monthly schedule?
The event calendar is posted by the first of every month for the following month. Interested in planning further out, please call us any time during studio hours to schedule a private party.

Do I need to bring anything with me to paint?
Your reservation fee includes everything you need to create a beautiful and unique painting! When you arrive you are supplied with an apron, canvas, brushes, paints and step by step art instruction throughout the class! When class is done, your artwork is ready to hang!

Will my painting be dry by the end of the night?
Yes, dryers will be available if needed.

Are we allowed to bring in beverages and food?
Our studio is all BYOB - we only serve paint water! Feel free to bring in your favorite beverage (adult beverages limited to beer and wine or a premix margarita type beverage) and some light snacks to enjoy during class! Remember you are painting most of the time so finger foods are best! Wine openers, ice and cups are provided. To limit risk of breakage/accidents - no glassware in studio, please!

Can my child come with me to paint?
We have specific classes on our calendar for young artists! Family Day classes are intended for ages 7 and up. For Kid's parties we recommend ages 7-12. Parties are 2 1/2 hours. A minimum of 10 children is required. Teen classes are intended for ages 13 and up. Friday and Saturday evening classes are for ages 18 and up. If an evening class is noted as All Ages (10 and up) or Teen, then our younger artists are welcome to join us for that class! For private parties, age limitations are at the discretion of the host. Guests must be at least 21 years old to consume alcohol in the studio.

Cancellation Policy:
Store credit will be given for cancellations received at least 24 hours in advance. "No shows" with no notification or less than 24 hour notice of cancellation will not be issued store credit. Please leave a voice message if calling after hours. If you are late to the class you may not be allowed to paint and your payment will be forfeited. Please see Party Info for refund/cancellation policy terms outlined in the Private Event Agreement signed by host. Painting with a Twist reserves the right to cancel classes for unforeseen circumstances. Guests will be notified prior to class time and studio credit will be provided.

Bad Weather:
Class will cancel if a weather emergency is declared or we determine the roads to be too unsafe to travel; otherwise our cancellation policy is as stated above. In the rare case of a class cancelling due to poor weather conditions, studio credit will be issued to all registered guests. Please see our website for updates in a case of questionable weather.
