Rose

A native Californian, Rose started her art career as a technical illustrator. She loves creating fantasy creatures, abstracts, animal portraits and landscapes using acrylic and watercolor paints. She’s married with three children, one dog, and two bunnies. In her spare time she enjoys competing and coaching archery. In her own words: “At school I’m the fun teacher. We enjoy the process of creating and don’t worry so much about the outcome. Painting with a Twist lets me bring that childhood joy to adults.”

Sam

Sam

Sam is an artist from Ventura County. She graduated with her BA in Studio Art from Humboldt State University. Sam's main love is painting but she also loves to do photography, ceramics, and digital illustration. In her free time, Sam loves to go see live music, grab a drink with friends, or head down to the beach. In her own words: "Painting with a Twist really brings out everyone's creative side, it's so exciting to see all the paintings at the end and I feel so lucky to have been a part of the fun!

Kristina

Kristina

Kristina is an artist from Ventura County. She is a student studying to get her Associates Degree in Fine Arts at Ventura College. Her hobbies include video games, spending time with her chihuahua, and any type of arts & crafts. She is a very enthusiastic, creative, and loves helping others feel confident in their artwork. In her own words, “Everyone is an artist at heart, all it takes is an instructor to show you the way!”

Tessa

Tessa

Tessa is a lifelong creative with a passion for expression! She loves to explore various mediums, but her favorites are ceramics and painting. Outside the studio, Tessa is a dedicated college student on the path to earning her Master's in Business. In her words, "I find joy in helping people discover the artist within themselves. I love seeing people leave the studio with a smile on their faces.”

Nichole

Nichole

Nichole is an artist born and raised in Ventura County. She graduated with her BFA in Studio Arts from the University of New Mexico. Nichole has ventured in many mediums but her heart lies with painting and printmaking. Outside the studio, Nichole is an art teacher who hopes to inspire young people to go out and create art. She also enjoys baking and crocheting in her free time. In her own words, “Anyone can come out with a piece they’re proud of as long as they believe in themselves and as an instructor, I will always be there to give them a little extra if they need it!"

Joey

Joey

Joey is an artist from Ventura County. He has graduated from Otis College of Art and Design with his BFA in Fine Arts-Painting. Though he loves painting, he is well-versed in other mediums as well such as jewelry-making, print-making, and collage. Joey is currently an art teacher for elementary school students. He values teaching others the importance of art and its rich culture. And as said in the beautiful film that is Ratatouille, “Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere.”

Jennifer

Jennifer

A Ventura County native and lifelong artist, Jennifer has dabbled in everything from sketching, to jewelry making, to pyrography (wood burning), but is currently obsessed with crochet. She has taught children through an afterschool art program, as well as adults as an instructor at Craftcation. When not crafting, she can be found at Disneyland, watching Supernatural, attending a comedy show, or wandering Target with her son. In her own words. "Art is for everyone!"
