Hi, I'm AJ -- jack of all artistic trades and master of FUN! I love seeing you (and your friends and family) at our scheduled painting events at the studio. No matter if you're painting for the first time or the fiftieth time, I always ask you to remember my motto: "It's not messed up; it's just not finished yet!" I was born and raised in Houston. I have been creating art for as along as I can remember. It has been my one and only passion since I was a little girl. My ambition and my creativity have always been the qualities I value most in myself. After studying art in high school, I got my Associates Degree at Alvin Community College where I studied film and digital photography. During that time, I was a freelance portrait photographer. After graduating, I transferred to the University of Houston where I am currently majoring in Graphic Design. I have studied most mediums, including acrylic and gouache painting, drawing/charcoal, watercolor, color theory, graphic design and photography. I now work as a freelance artist and creative intern while I finish up my education. I hope to one day open my own Design studio where I will create new artwork everyday to make our city more beautiful and creative, collaborating with local artists and teaching the young artists in my community. Hello! My name is Gavin Andrade. I’ve always been a creative being. Outside of Painting With A Twist, I am a freelance artists doing commissions for both individuals as well as companies. I also write and record music under my name and release music on music streaming platforms like Apple Music, Spotify and more. I’m also very passionate about animals and each year host a walk to raise awareness for endangered species. My name is Jeniss Bonrud, but I like to be called Genesis. I'm 29 years old.  I've been doing painting classes for the last 5 years but have only been with PWAT for 2 months. I enjoy teaching and have fun painting. PWAT is my 2nd job.  I also work in Mortgage at Texas Bay Credit Union for the last 10 years. I am married to a wonderful husband and have a little rascal kitten named Spooky. I love spending time with my family and planning events and parties. I LOVE Mac and Cheese, cartoons, cats, and the beach.

Always an artsy person in every way, Lanie is thrilled to join the team at Painting with a Twist! She currently writes dark comedy novels about horrifyingly awful romantic mishaps. And when she’s not trying to pass off personal horror stories as fiction, she’s usually on a stage or in front of a camera. You can catch her in upcoming shows at The Jet-Pac and Inspiration Stage, and you might be able to catch her on the small screen as Pride in Mendel’s Messiah. She has a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from UT Austin, and a double Master's in Research Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy from UHCL. But art is where her heart is! Lanie genuinely loves social interaction, and she looks forward to meeting new people and helping them embrace their own beautiful creativity.
