AJ joined the Painting with a Twist family in the summer of 2014 and quickly fell in love with the Painting with a Twist concept of FUN ART. Andrew years in, AJ became a key player in bringing the downtown studio to life—little did she know she’d eventually take it over like a colorful, paint-splattered mastermind! After years of juggling multiple jobs and saving every penny, she took the ultimate creative leap in 2017, trading in her main 9-5 corp world for a 24/7 dream filled with canvases, creativity, and the occasional rogue glitter explosion. Shortly after buying the studio, she met her husband, proving that love and art really do mix. Now, as a mom to two wildly energetic boys and a giant Presa Canario named Dozer (who may or may not think he’s an art critic), AJ spends most of her time behind the scenes, making sure the studio runs smoothly. She still pops in to teach the occasional class, spreading joy, creativity, and the belief that there are no mistakes—just happy little accidents!

Brittney

Colorful, loud, and goofy are just a few words to describe me. I am a self taught artist that moved to CO six years ago with my two little beings. I love to laugh, thrift, and create. I am here to have a good time and to bring out the artist in you in a fun and comfortable environment. My classes will definitely involve me singing and dancing horribly while we art the day away, the drinks will hopefully make me sound and look better for your ears and eyes sake. Cat

Cat is a lifelong, and self taught, artist who turned back to art after struggling to find purpose in life from the confines of an office cubicle. Cat instructs with an emphasis on fun as it is her belief that laughter and support are essential in the creative environment.

E

E, AKA The Sheriff, is a self taught artist going on almost 4 years at twist. They specialize in marker art and character design and are a goofy, fun-loving paintertainer here at the Downtown location. Come hang out!

Jacqui

Jacqui is a self-taught artist from the Midwest. Her love for art was sparked by the Peanuts Comics, and her current favorite mediums are acrylic, oil and pen. In her free time she also enjoys sewing, reading, traveling to new places and always hanging out with her two dogs and cat when she can.

Jess

Jess is a self taught artist with the love of nature and art. An awkward social butterfly who spends her time balancing her passion for law and creativity. Her hobbies include painting, music, DnD, gardening, and many more! Fueled by coffee and laughter, she chases her dreams one step at a time.

Kassie

Kassie is a self taught artist new to the Colorado area. Her favorite mediums are acrylic and charcoal. She enjoys sewing during her free time and hanging out with her family, especially her two young kids. She also loves playing DnD, leading her girl scout troop, and making new friends. In the summer, you can find her at dressing up at conventions and the Renaissance fair. Everyone has the capability to be an artist!

Shay

Shay is a self taught artist who’s style varies on the day (highly dependent on the amount of coffee they’ve had). A little awkward but makes up for it with dad jokes and light demeanor. Huge animal fan so be prepared to talk about your pets. If not painting, you’ll find Shay playing with her dog, baking, or reading.
