Malerie - Owner #malpal

Hey, I'm Malerie--the owner and manager here as well as an artist! I fell in love with Painting with a Twist when my mom took me to an event back when I was in high school, and I knew from that day that it was my dream to work in a studio at some point. Fast forward a few years, I began working as an artist here in the summer of 2018! I took over the studio in the summer of 2021, and now you can find me handling the daily business operations and teaching some events here and there. Outside of the studio, I like to spend my time with my husband, my friends, and my two adorable corgis--Max and Archie. I’ve been painting since before I could talk—luckily my little brother was too young to remember me thinking his face made a great surface for finger painting—and I love pretty much anything creative! I originally came to Corpus Christi in the fall of 2016 to study at TAMU-CC, and I earned my Bachelor's in Management and Marketing as well as my Master's in Business Administration from there. I'm a proud Islander and Alpha Gam Alum :) I love being a part of Painting with a Twist and sharing my love of art with others! Come check out our studio for a fun experience unlike any other.

Hi there! My name is Corynne & i was born and raised in Corpus Christi! I love our city! I am a collector/hoarder of things I love, whether they be manga, make-up or art supplies -- that I swear I am going to use. I like to spend my days bingeing TV shows while my puppies’ sit on my lap, I usually try and balance a sketchbook on top of one of them; they make good lap desks… sometimes. I have always loved art and have even received my bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a teaching certification from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. I love making art, but more importantly, I love teaching people to make art! I have always believed making art should be fun, which is why I think Painting with a Twist is such a great fit. Hello! My name is Bailey! I've been painting and drawing ever since I could remember. Painting can be so relaxing and so fun! Other than painting, I like to spend my time playing guitar and spending time with family and friends. I think quality time with the people you love is priceless. I'm so happy to be a part of the Painting with a Twist team and I look forward to painting with you!

Skylar - Senior Artist #SkyHigh

Howdy hey! My name is Skylar and I have lived in Corpus Christi pretty much my entire life! I have never been outside of Texas before so the concept of “seasons” is very foreign to me. I only know hot and slightly less hot. Oh and rain. Can’t forget the rain! I have always been interested in art since I was a little girl and actively vandalized the walls of my childhood home as “practice”. I also work as a face painter and photographer because I’m fancy like that! I feel most myself when I have a paint brush in my hand and I’m so happy I get to express that with Painting with a Twist! So, if you like art and chaos, come join me and we can have a great time!

Hey! My names Tashie and I relocated to Corpus Christi from New Mexico last may. I fell in love with Corpus and knew I wanted to move down here to the coast. I always wanted to live at the beach. I have a degree in Studio Art from New Mexico State University with a minor in art history. I love teaching art, the art making and the fun that’s shared in those moments. I’m really happy I get to be apart of Painting with a Twist! Can’t wait to paint together!

Andrea

Howdy! My name is Andrea & I was born and raised in Corpus Christi! I grew up playing a variety of sports but I never grew out of my love for art. I’ve been drawing since I was 3 years old and I graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Visualization, which is just a fancy word for art related disciplines. My focus was in animation so I could tell you all about how Disney and Pixar movies get made! As for the sports I’ve played, I’ve done sailing, swimming, horseback riding, rock climbing, skiing, Judo, archery, and I’m currently getting back into tennis! At the end of the day I just want to have fun so I’m happy to be a part of the Painting With a Twist family and bring the fun of art to others! I look forward to painting with you!

"Hello there! I'm Amy, and I'm an avid artist, passionate photographer, nerdy scientist, and dedicated equestrian. I love all manner of creatures, from birds to bugs to fuzzy little mammals, and am frequently inspired to create vibrant portraits of them, especially endangered species that deserve a voice. When I'm not painting or studying, you'll likely see me galloping into the sunset with my rescue horse Delta, otherwise I'll probably be talking your ear off about her. That, or getting distracted trying to identify a distant bird call..."

Hunter

Hey, I'm Malerie's husband, Hunter. You might see me around the studio answering the phone, checking you in, or helping refill your paint. I'm not a paint artist the way the rest of the team here is (unless you count painting Warhammer miniatures), but you can often catch me doing my craft of making cocktails downtown at The Omni's Topsider Lounge.
