Could it be? ANOTHER Holiday so soon?!
It's true- Valentine's day feels like it's coming right on the heels of a fast and furious holiday season because, well, IT IS. Take it from us, we're in the business of celebrating every little holiday and event- but this season in particular has been non-stop! With so many festivities and so little time, we find its best to keep things simple so the stress stays in check. Here's a few tips for a stress-free fun-filled Valentines day at Painting with a Twist!
1). Plan ahead- Don't get caught up in the rush. Sign up for one of our classes and make your dinner reservations ahead of time, that way you're not waiting an hour to be seated at a restaurant or getting left out in the "sold out" cold!
2). Know Your Venue- If there's one thing that's worse than fighting traffic, it's fighting for a parking spot (especially if you're pressed for time!). If you're coming to a class after 6pm you can park at Chase bank just past our studio, take advantage of the great food and complimentary valet at our neighbors, Lover's Sea Food and Market; or park in the lot between Nicholson-Hardie Nursery and Black Swan Yoga.
3). Switch it up- Who says you have to celebrate Valentine's day ON Valentine's day? It's the weekend, it's Dallas, it's crazy. We get it. We made sure to have "love-themed" classes all week long, that way you can beat the rush for a sweet night out and spend your V-Day weekend cozied up with pizza, a movie, and comfy pajamas if you wish.
4). The Most Important Thing- DON'T FORGET THE CHOCOLATE...or the wine; these guys are the sparkly glitter glue that holds Valentine's day together. No situation has ever been made worse by chocolate or wine, only better. Keeping both of these items on hand will ensure that you are prepared no matter what you encounter on V-day.
So now you know; plan ahead, stay flexible, and don't forget the goodies! We're big fans of celebration, but never at the cost of sanity. Keep your wits about you and the wine glasses near, and we're sure you'll make this a Valentine's to remember! Our calendar is posted for the week of valentines day, you can plan ahead and sign up here!
Happy month of love everyone! Cheers!
