Our Grapevine, TX Painting with a Twist Artists

Molly

Molly

Molly was born and raised in North Texas and has been an Artist Instructor and Studio Manager at our studio since 2013. As a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu culinary school, she focused on the arts of patisserie and baking. She then started her career as a Cake Artist at a local bakery, and in 2015 started her own home-based bakery, "Sweet Yo Self". Since decorating cakes is like painting a 3-dimensional canvas, Molly easily transitioned her talents into painting flat canvases. Since she is not a classically trained fine artist, she relates well with customers who are initially unsure of their painting skills. Her favorite thing about being a Art Instructor is the freedom to let out her quirky personality, tell corny jokes, and help customers realize that everyone CAN paint!

Ashton

Ashton

Ashton has been an Art Assistant at our studio since November 2013. She loves teaching art so much, she went to the University of North Texas to study Art Education. For her, painting is a therapeutic way to unwind at the end of a stressful day, so she enjoys helping others find the same solace in their brush at Painting with a Twist. Though many people arrive uncertain and sometimes stressed out about painting for the first time, Ashton makes sure everyone ends up enjoying her class.

Jessica

Jessica

Jessica grew up in the DFW area and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2008 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in Glass. She wanted to put her art degree to use, and thus landed an Artist Instructor job at Painting with a Twist. One of Jessica's favorite things about this job is having the chance to get people out of their comfort zone and into their creative zone, which is especially rewarding for her when people start out feeling like they have no creative skill. Art is therapeutic for her, and she enjoys helping others find relaxation in their canvas. Jessica also works part-time at a local hospital pharmacy, which is another way she helps people feel good. She spends her free time working on her own personal artwork and participates in various group art shows throughout DFW. Whenever she gets the chance, she travels, relaxes on patios with friends, or hikes local trails with her Border Collie, Zoe.

Kyle

Kyle

Kyle has been working at our studio since December 2013. Ever since his mother took him out of school in the third grade to see a Picasso exhibit at the Kimbell Art Museum, Kyle knew he wanted to create art. He went on to get his degree in Art Education with a focus in Painting from the University of Texas in Arlington. This training allows him to help customers create their own beautiful works of art. His favorite thing about being an Art Instructor is the surprise reveal of the final result that everyone painted. Kyle was born in Weisbaden, Germany, but has lived in Tarrant County since 1990. In addition to art, he likes to travel, experience new things, and spend time with his family.
