Painting with a Twist FAQ

What is the price?

It’s $38.00 per person for a two-hour class and $48.00 per person for a three-hour class.

What if I have absolutely no artistic skill?

Don’t worry about it. All of our artists are experienced instructors with degrees in Painting. They will walk you through the painting process step-by-step in an entertaining fashion. We think of this as FUN art not Fine Art.

Do I have to make a reservation?

Yes, we prefer that you make your reservation and pay online. Classes with less than four people registered online will be cancelled.

Can I just walk-in before a class?

Walk-in’s are always welcome if we have the space. Though we cannot guarantee a spot without a reservation. Our Friday and Saturday nights typically sell out, so you will want to make your reservations ahead of time.

Do you only offer classes during the times posted on the website or can I just come in anytime?

Each class requires a minimum number of guests and an artist to teach it. Therefore, we cannot accommodate painters when it is not scheduled. We do offer a variety of classes throughout the week and weekends, we also allow private parties any time from 10am-Midnight daily.

What type of Payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards for reservations made online. Please note your card is automatically charged when you make a reservation online. We will take a reservation over the phone with a valid credit card. For phone reservations we require a minimum of half payment to hold your reservation. Payment will be due at the door the night of the class and can be made with Cash or Credit/Debit. We do not accept personal checks. If you are a no-show and/or do not give us at least 24 hours notice via email that you need to cancel, studio credit will not be offered. Please see Cancellation Policy for more information.

Do you sell wine and snacks?

Currently we are BYOB. This means you can bring anything you want to eat or drink including alcohol, provide you are over the age of 21. We do check ID.

Do you provide us with a wine opener, cups, ice?

We provide you with a bucket of ice for chilling, not serving. TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) will not allow us to give you ice to put in your drink. You can bring a small cooler with you. We also provide you with cups, napkins and a corkscrew. We do not provide plates or silverware. If you need them, please bring them with you.

What time should I arrive at the studio?

We suggest that you arrive 15 minutes earlier than paint time, but no more than 30 minutes earlier than paint time, as our artists are busy getting ready. Late Arrivals may not be able to finish their painting and our classes must end on time.

Can I bring my own wine glasses and decorations?

You may bring plastic wine glasses, no glass stemware is permitted due to breakage. Wine and Beer Bottles are allowed. You may bring balloons, table cloths, any decorations you’d like except Confetti or Glitter. Please try to keep decorations and snacks simple.

What should I wear?

You can wear whatever you are comfortable in. We provide you with aprons(Smocks) to protect your clothing, but this is permanent acrylic paint. If you get it on your clothes, it will not come out. We do suggest that you wear short sleeves or roll up your sleeves and pin your hair back to keep you from getting it into the paint.

Do you do reserved seating?

Yes. The best thing to do is pick one person in your party and have everyone list that one person as the “person they want to sit with” for example : “Laurel’s Bday,” or “Anna’s GNO” or “Winston’s Anniversary.” There is a specific question asking that on your reservation online. Let us know what you’re celebrating too!

What is your cancellation policy?

For Public Classes: We require a minimum of 24 hours notice for 1-2 reservations and 72 hours notice for 3 or more reservations in writing via email in order for you to receive a full studio credit. We do not offer refunds for guest cancellations. For Private Parties: We require a minimum of 7 days notice via email to cancel a party to release your deposit hold.

We do not offer refunds or cancellations for Twist at Home kits.

All classes after 6PM require a minimum age of 18. There are some exception during the week, like Family Nite, but never on Friday or Saturday night as those are peak times and there is way too much alcohol on the premises. Check the calendar, you will see specific age limits listed on classes that are child appropriate.
