Painting with a Twist FAQ

Q: What are the prices for a class?
A: Prices range from $30 to to $60 depending on the length and type of class and surface that you choose to paint.  Just click on the painting you like best and you will see the price for the class.

Q: I saw a class on the calendar that is no longer there.  Why did it change?
A: Our calendar is fluid and sometimes changed based on requests, but generally you'll find most of the selections for the month posted by the 15th of the month before.  We are able to add Private Parties most days and nights of the week.

Q: Will my painting be dry by the end of the night?
A: Yes, if there are a few damp places we will have hair dryers which will dry them quickly.

Q: At what time should I arrive for class?
A: Fifteen to thirty minutes would be plenty of lead time.

Q: Do you do reserved seating?
A: Yes - we take reservations online or over the phone.  Payment is accepted at the time of reservation.

Q: Will you have wine openers and cups?
A: Yes, we supply wine openers and cups along with cocktail napkins and cocktail size plates. We do not supply utensils, so if you need forks, knives, spoons or serving utensils, please plan to bring your own.

Q: Since it is around dinner, can we bring food?
A: Yes, feel free to bring any type of food or beverage you would like.  We are set up for finger foods, so if you need forks and knives, you will need to bring those.

Q: What do I wear?
A: Whatever is comfortable and you don't mind if a little paint gets on it. We will have aprons for you if you need them.

Q: Do I need a reservation?
A: We suggest reservations for all classes to ensure you have a seat for sold out events. Should you prefer to pay at the door, please arrive at least 20 minutes before the class start time. Guest arriving at or after class start time may not be allowed to register depending on the size of the class at the time. Payment is due at the time you reserve. We require a 48 hours notice of cancellation for a refund of your class fees less a 10% cancellations processing fee. Store Credits valid for 90 days will be issued to those giving us at least 24 hours notice. No refunds or Store Credits will be issue for  no calls/no shows.

Q: Do you do private parties?
A: Yes, we can accommodate up to 50 people in studio. Please see Party Info for more details.

Q: What size is the canvas?
A: We have serveral canvas sizes, but our most popular is our 16 x 20.  For certain classes and Pop-In & Paint, we also offer 11x14, 12x12 and 36x24 canvases along with Wood Boards, Wood Cut Outs and Wine Glass paintings, too!

Q: Is there an age limit?
A: Tuesday thru Thursday evening classes starting at 7:00 p.m. are open to adult painters 18 and up.  Minors (ages 15 to 17) are allowed with a paid/painting adult.  On Friday and Saturday night, our age requirement is 18 and up. We recommend ages 5 and older for Family Friendly or afternoon classes. Unless otherwise designated, most of our kids classes are suited for ages 5+.  Please note that it is the law that you have to be 21 years old to consume alcoholic beverages.

Q: What is your refund policy?
A: With at least 48 hours notice, you will be given the option of a STORE CREDIT for 100% of the cost of the class (valid at the Richardson and Mansfield locations only) or a refund less a 10% processing/cancelation fee. With at least 24 hours notice, STORE CREDIT ONLY will be issued.  STORE CREDITS are valid for 90 days from issue. No refunds or credits will be issued with less than 24 hours notice.   "No shows" will not be issued store credit or refunds. If you are more than 15 minutes late to the class you may not be allowed to paint and your payment will be forfeited. For refund policy for Parties please see Party Info.

Painting with a Twist reserves the right to cancel classes for unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be notified at least as soon as the cancellation is determined.  In the event that we cancel you will be offered Store Credit or a Refund (provided that you're not painting on a previous store credit or comp.)
