Tori Marquez
Victoria Majesta Marquez is an artist from Laredo, Tx; currently based in Austin, Tx.
Marquez graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018 with a BFA in
Studio Art. She has worked in a wide range of mediums, such as acrylic painting,
mural making, foam carving, 3D printing, CNC routing, and ceramics.
Her body of work explores themes connected to nature, psychedelic imagery, color theory,
and creatures intersecting in the realm of the surreal.
As a muralist Marquez has been commissioned for murals/artwork from the Lady
Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Art in Public Places Austin, The Butler School of
Music at UT Austin, and Keep Laredo Beautiful Program. She was
awarded “TEMPO 2021” with AIPP and “FORTLANDIA 2024” with the Lady Bird
Johnson Wildflower Center. Her work has been shown at Womzimer in Los Angeles
CA, Peoples Gallery in Austin TX, Artus Co, East Austin Studio Tour, VAC-Visual
Arts Center, Laredo Center for the Art, Gallery 201, and Tamiu Center for the Arts.
In her professional career Marquez has worked as a fabricator at Blue Genie Art
Industries, a Designer and Laser CNC operator at Ion Art, a painting Instructor with
Totally Cool Totally Art, and a Digital Fabrication Lab proctor at UT Austin
